The inaugural project of the East African Education Initiative has been to aid in the establishment and financing of the Peace Africa Children's Ensemble.
The Ensemble is based at the Peace Africa Center in Kampala, Uganda. It is the home of young people who desire secondary education and are musically talented. The Center is administered and directed by its founder, Mr. Kibirige Ronald. Sponsorships, supplied by the Initiative, provide the daily care, family environment, and educational opportunities for the Ensemble's members.

Mr. Kibirige has used his vast expertise in dance and music to make the Ensemble what it is today. In 2010, Mr. Kibirige graduated with distinction from Makerere University in Kampala with a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Dance & Drama. Prior to graduation, Ronald was one of the few Makerere students to be selected to participate in a student exchange program with Stanford University. He is becoming known in Africa, Europe and the United States as a preeminent instructor and performer in traditional Ugandan dance and music

Since the Ensemble has partnered with the Initiative it has recorded two CD’s and was featured on National Public Radio’s “All Songs Considered.” Under Ronald’s instruction, Ensemble students have progressed in their performance skills to the degree that they are now being invited to perform in other African countries and in Western Europe. A tour to the United States is being planned for the future.

Since the Peace Africa Center is one of the few places in the area with electricity, it has become a center for the community. Children from the neighborhood come to study, dance and socialize.
